Introduction to Chinese - Understand the basics of Chinese language, culture and business

 

The course will run for 5 weeks for an hour on Tuesday evenings from 5-6pm

Location: Council Chamber, County Hall, Kilkenny

Commencing : Tuesday May 15^th 2012 and for every Tuesday thereafter for 5 weeks in total

Course tutor: Ms Serinna Xu, Bejing native,  

Learning outcome – the aim of this short course is to develop your ability to communicate in Chinese for social and business purposes. Chinese characters will be introduced using an innovative learning system

Lesson 1 Greeting and General Introduction to Chinese Society and Culture

Lesson 2 Chinese Family, Titles and Traditions

Lesson 3 Chinese Business etiquette and formalities

Lesson 4 Chinese Food and Food Ordering

Lesson 5 Chinese Festivals and Chinese Arts
